Our Olive Wood products are hand crafted/carved in a small mill operated by a well known family in Spello, Italy. This small town is just outside of Tuscany to the South in the adjacent region of Umbria. It is famous for its lovely olive wood crafts and talented wood workers. These products are not mass-produced in a factory, but created individually by the Artisan and carved from solid pieces of olive wood. The olive wood used is only taken from dead or diseased trees. No new or young trees are used for these crafts. Sizes and shapes of each product may vary slightly due to the handmade nature and variations in the grains of the olive wood.
